Tottenham Hotspur to pay Brighton & Hove Albion £1.5m for Grant Hall

Tottenham Hotspur have been told that they must pay Brighton & Hove Albion £1.5m for defender Grant Hall.

The 20-year-old moved to White Hart Lane earlier this summer after turning down the offer of a new three-year deal with the Seagulls.

Despite the player being out of contract at Brighton, Spurs were required to pay a fee for his transfer because he was under the age of 24.

Hall made just one senior first-team appearance for Brighton during three seasons with the South Coast club.
