Tottenham Hotspur 'start talks for Thomas Meunier'

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly remain keen to secure a deal for Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier.

After a four-year spell at Parc des Princes, the right-back is expected to depart the Ligue 1 champions on a free transfer later this summer.

While the Belgium international will not be short of offers, it is Spurs who have been most frequently linked with the 28-year-old.

According to The Express, discussions have been held between the two parties ahead of a potential switch later in 2020.

Spurs have been left short on the right-hand side of defence this season, leading to Jose Mourinho being eager to bring in experienced competition for Serge Aurier.

Meunier made 21 outings in France's top flight and the Champions League this season.
