Tottenham Hotspur complete Vlad Chiriches signing

Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Steaua Bucuresti defender Vlad Chiriches.

Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas had been eager to strengthen his defence after the departures of William Gallas and Steven Caulker.

The club had been linked with a move for the Romanian international for several days, but they have now announced that a deal has been completed for the 23-year-old.

The fee has not been revealed by the White Hart Lane outfit, but it was reported earlier this week that they would pay Bucuresti £7m for his signature.

Chiriches impressed for Bucuresti during the Europa League last season, before they were narrowly defeated by Chelsea.
