Tottenham Hotspur chasing Boca Juniors midfielder Wilmar Barrios?

Boca Juniors midfielder Wilmar Barrios emerges as a rumoured summer transfer target for Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly set his sights on signing Wilmar Barrios from South American giants Boca Juniors.

The 24-year-old defensive midfielder has been capped 10 times by Colombia at senior level and is understood to be valued at around £25m.

According to The Sun, Pochettino is keen to bring in a midfield enforcer and Barrios - part of his national side's World Cup plans - ticks all of the boxes.

Spurs are also said to be willing to offload a player to make room, with Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele most at threat, as Pochettino intends to freshen up his squad for the 2018-19 campaign.

Barrios has featured 27 times for Boca in all competitions this season.
