Spurs 'baffled by Eriksen contract snub'

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly baffled by Christian Eriksen's decision to snub the chance to sign a new contract at the club as no offers have been received for the Denmark international.

Eriksen will see his current deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium expire at the end of the season.

Manchester United were linked with a move for the playmaker before the English transfer window slammed shut, while Real Madrid continue to be credited with an interest.

However, according to The Mirror, Spurs have received no offers for the former Ajax youngster, who is still rejecting the chance to enter into fresh contract talks.

The report claims that Mauricio Pochettino's side have placed a £200,000-a-week deal on the table, but Eriksen is determined to leave to join either Barcelona, Madrid or Juventus.

Pochettino recently admitted that the Dane could still leave the Premier League club before the European transfer window closes at the start of September.
