Report: Tottenham Hotspur preparing Xherdan Shaqiri bid

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a £20m bid for Bayern Munich's wantaway attacker Xherdan Shaqiri.

The 23-year-old joined Bayern from Basel in 2012, but has largely struggled to secure a regular spot with the German champions.

Despite his lack of football, the Swiss international is widely regarded as one of the most talented attackers in European football.

A number of clubs are believed to be monitoring proceedings, but according to The Metro, Spurs will make a £20m bid in January.

Shaqiri has scored twice for Bayern this season.
