Harry Redknapp says that he is not sure about Emmanuel Adebayor's future, but says that is probably lies away from Manchester City.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has said that he does not know whether a deal can be done for Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Togo striker has been on loan at White Hart Lane from Manchester City this season, scoring 13 league goals in 27 games.

Adebayor's future has been the subject of speculation this week, with reports suggesting that he could return to the Etihad Stadium.

Redknapp said that the 28-year-old has been brilliant for Spurs so far but remains in the dark over the possibility of making the switch permanent.

"He scored two goals last week against Swansea and he has been excellent, but whether it's possible to do a deal, I wouldn't be sure," The Mirror quotes Redknapp as saying.

"Manu is on loan at the moment and that's where we're at. The chairman will deal with [any negotiations] at the end of this season. I wouldn't have a clue whether [a permanent transfer] is a possibility or not."

However, the Spurs boss said that he needs to "move on" from the Citizens.

"His future doesn't seem to be there," he added. "He probably needs to move on."
