Harry Redknapp dismisses January transfer activity

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp admits that he is not looking to bring any new players to White Hart Lane in January.

Harry Redknapp has revealed that he has no intention of adding to his Tottenham Hotspur squad in the January transfer window.

Spurs have been linked with many new players in recent weeks but Redknapp is confident that he will not be entering the transfer market.

The former Portsmouth manager said: "We have good players like Niko [Kranjcar] and [Steven] Pienaar who are not getting a game, so to take another player and not have him playing is a waste of time.

The Spurs boss also claimed that the mid-season transfer window "drives you mad".

"The January window drives you mad. You get phone calls from agents without a clue, offering you useless players.

"If you do happen to answer by mistake, you would say 'We are in the Premier League, not the Southern League. You are ringing the wrong manager'. It is unreal."

Redknapp's side face Everton in the Premier league on Wednesday evening.
