Man United 'considering January move for Eriksen'

Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a January swoop for Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen.

The Denmark international will see his contract with Spurs expire at the end of the season, and it seems unlikely that the playmaker will agree a fresh deal with Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Both Real Madrid and United were linked with moves during the summer transfer window, but the former Ajax youngster ultimately remained at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Eriksen has cut a frustrated figure in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign, though, and Spurs are said to be open to the idea of selling for around £30m in the winter transfer window.

According to Goal, United are aware that their Premier League rivals are keen to avoid losing Eriksen on a free, and the 20-time English champions are preparing to make a January move.

The 27-year-old scored 14 times in all competitions for his capital club during the 2018-19 campaign but has managed just one goal this term.
