Fraser Forster 'accepts two-year Spurs contract'

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly on the brink of announcing the signing of Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

With Pierluigi Gollini returning to Atalanta BC after his season-long loan spell, head coach Antonio Conte requires backup for first-choice Hugo Lloris.

The North London outfit are said to want to sign a homegrown player to fill the position, resulting in interest in the experienced Forster who is departing St Mary's.

According to Football Insider, the 34-year-old has penned a contract at Spurs which will last until the end of 2023-24.

The England international is said to have already completed a medical with the free transfer expected to be confirmed in due course.

Forster made 23 appearances for the Saints in all competitions this season, taking his tally to 162 since arriving at the club in 2014.
