Christian Eriksen 'demands 150k a week' from Tottenham Hotspur

Christian Eriksen reportedly demands a wage boost of 400% to £150,000 to sign a new contract at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen has reportedly demanded a salary worth £150,000 a week to remain with the North London side.

The 24-year-old, who has been at White Hart Lane since 2013, still has two years to run on his current, £32,000-a-week contract.

According to The Mirror, the Danish international is now in "a contract stalemate" with Spurs, who are renowned for having a strict policy with their wage structure.

Eriksen's alleged demands represent a 400% increase on his existing deal and are almost double the wages of the club's current top earner Hugo Lloris.

The uncertainty over Eriksen's contract situation has reportedly alerted Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan, although Spurs are said to remain hopeful of working out a new deal.

Eriksen has notched up 23 goals in 98 league appearances across three seasons for Mauricio Pochettino's side and has been an ever-present for the last two seasons.
