Antonio Conte reveals that Tottenham Hotspur want to dicuss a contract renewal with Harry Kane, who has two years left on his current deal.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has confirmed that the club want to open contract talks with Harry Kane.

The England captain was the subject of transfer speculation last summer as he attempted to force a move away from Tottenham.

Spurs are believed to have turned down a nine-figure offer from Manchester City for the striker, who scored 27 goals and contribute nine assists in 50 appearances across all competitions last season.

The 29-year-old has started the current campaign in a similar manner, scoring four goals in Tottenham's opening four games, including a brace in the 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Following Kane's impressive form, Conte has stated that Spurs are keen to extend the forward's current contract, which is due to expire in June 2024.

As quoted by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Tottenham boss said: "The desire of everybody into the club is for Kane to continue to stay with Tottenham, to sign a new contract."

Kane, who has attracted interest from Bayern Munich, will look to continue Tottenham's unbeaten start to the season when they face London rivals West Ham United on Wednesday.
