Borna Barisic agent hints at Rangers stay despite Tottenham Hotspur interest

The agent of Rangers full-back Borna Barisic hints that his client will stay at Ibrox this season, despite speculation linking him with Tottenham Hotspur and Napoli.

The agent of Borna Barisic has hinted that the Rangers defender will stay at Ibrox for at least another year despite reported interest from Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 27-year-old has been a creative force for Steven Gerrard's side this season, providing 14 assists in 38 games in addition to registering two goals of his own.

Barisic's form recently saw him linked with a £22m move to Tottenham, while former Rangers midfielder Gennaro Gattuso is also thought to be interested in signing him for Napoli.

However, the Croatia international's agent has now seemingly performed a U-turn on previous comments suggesting his client could leave this summer, instead hinting that he will still be at the club next season.

"Napoli? Borna is concentrated only on the path with Rangers until next summer," Ives Cakarun is quoted as saying by The Scottish Sun.

Barisic only signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract at Ibrox in January, keeping him at the club until 2024.
