Bayern Munich are reportedly contemplating whether to make an approach for Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane next summer.

Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane in 2023.

The long-term future of Kane has been a constant topic for debate, particularly with the long-serving frontman now having less than two years remaining on his contract.

With the North Londoners having improved significantly under head coach Antonio Conte, there is little chance of the 28-year-old departing Spurs this summer.

However, while the England skipper opts against penning fresh terms at the Premier League side, speculation will persist as to whether he will leave for a new challenge next year.

According to Bild, Bayern have already attempted to ascertain whether it is worth placing Kane on their shortlist of future targets.

In recent days, the high-profile departure of Robert Lewandowski has been confirmed, the legendary Pole having left the Allianz Arena for Barcelona.

With Sadio Mane having arrived from Liverpool and Serge Gnabry penning a new contract, Bayern are unlikely to spend big on a like-for-like replacement before the start of September.

Nevertheless, the report claims that the Bundesliga champions have made contact with Kane's representatives regarding a potential deal in 12 months time.

While it is stated that 'concrete talks' have not taken place, Bayern are said to have been left encouraged by the response that they received from Kane's camp.

Throughout his career, it has been well-documented that the frontman has not won any team silverware during his club career.

A switch to Manchester City in 2021 would have almost certainly changed that, but Spurs successfully rebuffed the interest from the Premier League champions.

Much could now depend on how Spurs fare during the upcoming campaign, Conte having been given the licence to bring in a number of new signings in order to try to cement the club's position in the top four of England's top flight.

Spurs have also earned a return to the Champions League, another key factor in Kane being happy to spend at least another year at the club.

Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn has recently indicated that signing Kane is "a dream for the future", all but ruling out a late bid over the coming weeks.
