Andre Villas-Boas plays down Hulk link

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has played down speculation linking Hulk with a move to White Hart Lane.

It was reported on Friday that Villas-Boas had visited Brazil's Olympic base in London to speak with the 25-year-old, with whom he has previously worked at Porto.

While admitting that he saw the striker, the Portuguese coach claims that it was not a business meeting.

"Hulk is a very special player for me," he told Terra. "We had a very good year together in Porto and we have a good relationship - that I do not deny.

"But we have just been talking, nothing more."

Hulk featured for Brazil in Friday's 2-0 friendly win over Team GB in Middlesbrough.
