Atletico Madrid showing interest in Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez?

Atletico Madrid have reportedly identified Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez as a potential summer signing.

Sanchez is nearing the end of his second season with the Premier League outfit, but the Colombia international has sometimes found himself playing second fiddle to Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen.

The 22-year-old still has just over five years remaining on his contract at the North London side, but reports in Spain claim that Atletico are taking an interest.

Diego Godin is expected to leave the Spanish giants at the end of the season, meaning that Diego Simeone will need to find a replacement capable of being regarded as first choice next season.

However, Spurs are unlikely to consider any approach for Sanchez, with each of Alderweireld and Vertonghen the wrong side of 30 and Juan Foyth not being considered for regular starts in the Premier League.
