Vincent Kompany is recalled to the Manchester City starting lineup for Saturday's Premier League encounter against Tottenham Hotspur.

Vincent Kompany has been recalled to the Manchester City starting lineup for Saturday's Premier League encounter against Tottenham Hotspur.

Kompany dropped down to the bench for the Champions League encounter with Liverpool in midweek, but the Belgian returns in place of Nicolas Otamendi for the fixture in North London.

Manager Pep Guardiola has opted to bring in Fabian Delph to replace the suspended Fernandinho, while Ilkay Gundogan is preferred to Bernardo Silva.

As for Spurs, boss Mauricio Pochettino has made a total of four alterations to his team, with the most notable switch seeing Erik Lamela replace Son Heung-min.

Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies have been brought back into the team at full-back, with Serge Aurier and the injured Danny Rose missing out.

Eric Dier is also restored to the middle of the pitch, with Victor Wanyama having to make do with a spot among the replacements.
