Team News: Yaya Toure misses out for Manchester City

A late return from international duty means that Yaya Toure misses Manchester City's home encounter against Tottenham Hotspur.

Yaya Toure has been left out of the Manchester City team for this afternoon's Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium.

The 31-year-old has been omitted because he only returned from international duty with the Ivory Coast yesterday, which means that Frank Lampard will partner Fernando in the centre of midfield.

Elsewhere, Sergio Aguero will start as a lone centre-forward, while Bacary Sagna has replaced Pablo Zabaleta at right-back.

Meanwhile, Roberto Soldado will feature up front for the visiting North Londoners, with Nacer Chadli, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen forming a three-man attacking unit behind the Spaniard.

Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is also present, despite recent speculation that he would not be fit enough to start, with defender Federico Fazio also making his Premier League debut.

Man City: Hart; Clichy, Demichelis, Kompany, Sagna; Milner, Lampard, Fernando, Navas, Silva; Aguero

Spurs: Lloris; Dier, Fazio, Kaboul, Rose; Capoue, Mason; Chadli, Eriksen, Lamela; Soldado
