Chelsea target Luka Modric has been handed a starting role for Tottenham Hotspur against Manchester City this afternoon.

The Croatian will be partnered in central midfielder by fellow countryman Niko Kranjcar, while Peter Crouch has been preferred in attack to Jermain Defoe.

For visiting City Samir Nasri will make his debut following his move from Arsenal as Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko start up front together for the second game in succession.
