Michael Laudrup favourite to replace Tottenham Hotspur's Andre Villas-Boas

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup becomes the leading contender with the bookmakers to replace Andre Villas-Boas at Tottenham Hotspur.

Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup has been named the bookmakers' favourite to replace Andre Villas-Boas at the helm of Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports emerged this week claiming that the Portuguese coach could be on his way out of White Hart Lane after just one full season at the club.

It has been claimed that the Spurs hierarchy are considering Villas-Boas's position following their heavy 6-0 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

The majority of bookmakers have placed Laudrup as the leading contender to take the role ff the former Chelsea coach is dismissed by the North London outfit.

Spurs are said to have spent around £100m on seven new players in the summer transfer window following the £85m sale of Gareth Bale to Real Madrid.
