Lewis Holtby focused on Fulham's relegation fight

Lewis Holtby insists that his uncertain future at Tottenham Hotspur will be taking a backseat while he focuses on helping Fulham avoid relegation.

Lewis Holtby has stressed that his uncertain future at Tottenham Hotspur will take a backseat while he concentrates on helping Fulham beat the drop.

The German playmaker has joined the relegation-fighting Cottagers on a loan deal until the end of the season.

He provided Steve Sidwell with Fulham's first goal in their 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, and he is focusing on continuing to help the Whites rather than worrying about whether he will be in Tim Sherwood's plans when he returns to White Hart Lane in the summer.

"First of all I just think about Fulham and I just want to stay up," he told GetWestLondon. "I want to have a really good 13 games left and I want to show what I can do.

"On Sunday with the assist, I am very happy to show the Premier League what my abilities are and I am really happy that I am connecting. I am looking forward to the next games."

Holtby has only made 10 Premier League starts since signing for Spurs from Schalke in January 2012.
