Kyle Walker has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur will not suffer a dip in form during the second half of the Premier League season.
Despite a poor final few months of the last campaign, Spurs thought that they had done enough for Champions League qualification by finishing in fourth place.
However, Chelsea's win over Bayern Munich in the final of the competition in May confirmed that Walker and his teammates would not be taking part this term.
"Last time we faded off in the second half of the season," the 22-year-old told the club's official website. "Things like that happen, it's just football, but this year we have said that we are going to kick on around Christmas and the new year so we can get that third spot."
Tottenham travel to bottom-placed Queens Park Rangers in the league on Saturday.
