Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas bemoans fixture scheduling

Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas is frustrated by fixture scheduling as Spurs face three games in six days.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas has made clear his frustrations at scheduling he feels is putting his players at risk of injuring themselves.

Spurs have three fixtures in three different competitions in the space of six days, starting at home to Tromso IL in the Europa League on Thursday. They then travel to Cardiff City in the Premier League on Sunday, before heading to Aston Villa for a Capital One Cup tie on Tuesday.

"After this game [against Tromso] we have not only the Sunday game but the Tuesday game, which I found as an incredible surprise," Villas-Boas told Sky Sports News.

"How can the game be scheduled after two days? This is putting the players' career at risk and the risk of injuries."

Spurs are currently third in the Premier League, having won three fixtures and lost one.
