Rafael van der Vaart transfer details leaked

The Football Leaks website publishes a copy of Rafael van der Vaart's 2010 transfer document from Real Madrid to Tottenham Hotspur.

Rafael van der Vaart is the latest footballer to have their transfer document published by the Football Leaks website.

The controversial site has already published the transfer details of Gareth Bale, Eliaquim Mangala and Anthony Martial as part of its mission to 'fight for transparency in the world of football'.

Van der Vaart moved to Tottenham Hotspur from Real Madrid in 2010 and according to the leaked document, the Spanish giants accepted a fee of €10.5m (£8.8m at 2010 exchange rates).

Spurs were due to pay the fee in four instalments of £2.2m annually until August 31, 2013, although the previously-leaked Bale transfer document revealed that all future instalments for Van der Vaart's transfer had been wiped off, meaning that the midfielder effectively cost just £4.4m.

Van der Vaart returned to German side Hamburger SV before the start of the 2012-13 season.
