Tim Sherwood wary of Hull City threat

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood expects Hull City to provide a stern test for his side during this afternoon's Premier League clash at the KC Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood has said that he expects Hull City to provide a stern test for his side during this afternoon's Premier League clash at the KC Stadium.

Hull will be without on-loan Spurs midfielder Jake Livermore, but Sherwood believes that the Tigers have plenty of other players who can pose problems.

"They have strengthened their firepower now with [Nikica] Jelavic and [Shane] Long and I expect them to be fully committed," Sherwood told Tottenham's official club website.

"They will miss Jake Livermore, who is our player and can't play. We do know all about the quality of Tom Huddlestone, his range of passing, he'll be looking for those balls in behind our defence for Jelavic and Long.

"We know their strengths and we know it will be tough. Hull haven't had the best of runs recently, but throughout the season they've picked up good results and beaten some big teams, so we have to be aware of that. On any given day, they can beat the best. We have to match them for commitment and hopefully our quality will shine through."

Spurs have lost just one of their last eight games against Hull.
