Tottenham Hotspur 'considering Stadium MK as temporary home'

Spurs to groundshare with MK Dons?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a temporary groundshare with MK Dons following confirmation that their new stadium is "unlikely" to be ready for the 2017-18 season.

Spurs are facing the prospect of finding an alternative venue for their home matches that season while their new ground is being constructed, and Stadium MK has emerged as an early frontrunner, the Daily Mail reports.

Wembley Stadium is also said to have been under consideration, but the ground is limited to 37 events each year, and a full crop of Spurs fixtures would see it exceed that.

A groundshare with local rivals Arsenal is also believed to have been ruled out because of the animosity that exists between the two sets of supporters.

Spurs were hoping that the development of their new stadium would be completed in time for the 2017-18 campaign, but a land dispute with local businesses has delayed the process.
