Spurs looking to equal clean sheet record against Palace

Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to equal a club clean sheet record when they make the journey across the capital to take on Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Jose Mourinho's men have endured a difficult run of fixtures recently, but the Lilywhites have managed to record four consecutive shut-outs over West Bromwich Albion, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal over the past few weeks.

Spurs have only shipped nine goals in the league this season - the solitary top-flight team yet to hit the double-figure mark - and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is joint-top of the clean sheet charts with five alongside Ederson, Edouard Mendy and Emiliano Martinez.

Should Mourinho's rearguard prevent Palace from finding the back of the net at Selhurst Park, Spurs will equal a club record of five consecutive clean sheets in the top flight.

The Lilywhites currently sit atop the rankings heading into this bout with 24 points, which is the first time that Spurs have been leading the way after 11 matches since the 1984-85 campaign.

Chelsea missed the chance to temporarily leapfrog Spurs as they lost 1-0 to Everton on Saturday, while Liverpool - who are only behind on goal difference - lock horns with Fulham later on Sunday afternoon.
