Roberto Soldado vows to improve for Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado admits that he is working hard to improve his performances for the team.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has claimed that he still needs to improve his performances on the pitch.

The 28-year-old Spaniard has scored six goals in all competitions for Spurs since his £26m summer move from Valencia.

Despite three of those being match-winning strikes, Soldado believes that he can do more to contribute to the team.

"I have scored six goals but I would like to score many more," he told the club's official website.

"I am a realist and I know that, on the pitch, I am not happy with everything. I am not combining with my teammates how I would like but I know I am very close.

"I'm striving to get to top form and play at 100 per cent, I am convinced that I am almost there."

Spurs are back in Premier League action on Sunday when they make the trip to Manchester City.
