Mauricio Pochettino: "We need to show we are strong"

Mauricio Pochettino refuses to be too downbeat after his side's 2-2 draw at Chelsea hands the Premier League title to Leicester City.

Mauricio Pochettino has called upon his Tottenham Hotspur players to show their mental and physical strength in the wake of tonight's 2-2 draw away at Chelsea.

It was a result that handed the Premier League trophy to Leicester City, meaning that Tottenham's wait for a first title since 1961 continues.

Nevertheless, Pochettino has insisted that he is proud of the way that his team have performed this term.

"It's football. We are men, they are men, we need to show we are strong," he told BBC Sport.

"It was a good lesson for us. We are the youngest squad in the league, we feel very proud and our supporters need to feel proud too. We have massive potential for the future.

"We are disappointed because of the title but we need to be realistic and congratulate our players. Next season we need to be more stronger than this season and try to be in the race."

Next up for second-placed Spurs is a home clash against Southampton.
