Mauricio Pochettino: 'Stoke City defeat was disappointing and frustrating'

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino describes his side's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Stoke City on Sunday as "disappointing and frustrating".

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has pulled no punches over his side's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Stoke City in Sunday afternoon's Premier League clash at White Hart Lane, describing it as a "very bad result".

Bojan Krkic scored his first league goal in the sixth minute, with Jonathan Walters adding a second just after the half-hour mark.

Pochettino told reporters after the game: "It was disappointing and frustrating. A very bad result. It is a shame because we started the game great, but once we conceded the first goal it all changed, we took rash decisions and looked uncomfortable on the ball and made a lot of mistakes.

"We were more comfortable in the second half but then 2-0 down it is difficult. We scored but in the end it was a very disappointing result and in the next few days we will try to find a solution and change our mentality.

"Stoke worked hard. When you are up in a game your motivation is full and maybe we are very disappointed and frustrated and our players feel that frustration. We need to look forward, work hard, change and find the solution. That is my job."

Spurs sit 12th in the Premier League after Sunday's defeat.
