Paris Saint-Germain chief Leonardo plays down rumours linking manager Mauricio Pochettino with an exit, amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has played down the rumours linking manager Mauricio Pochettino with an exit from the French giants.

The Argentine manager has only been at the helm of the Parisian club for four months, and with two years remaining on his contract at the Parc des Princes he has been linked with a return to Tottenham Hotspur or as Zinedine Zidane's replacement at Real Madrid.

Zidane has since been replaced at Los Blancos by Carlo Ancelotti, making a return to Spurs more likely, however Leonardo has dismissed any exit for Pochettino.

Speaking to Europe 1, Leonardo said: "Mauricio Pochettino has two years on his contract with PSG, and we are very happy."

It is claimed that Pochettino has asked PSG if he can leave the club but, despite failing to win the Ligue 1 title, the club are keen to retain the 49-year-old and, according to the Daily Mail, the manager will respect and fulfil what the club wish for him to do.

Pochettino has managed to secure a trophy with PSG during his time in France so far, as his side won the Coupe de France in May.
