Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Ledley King believes that the club's summer signings can help them secure Champions League qualification.

Former Tottenham Hotspur captain Ledley King has claimed that the club's summer signings can help them secure Champions League qualification this season.

Paulinho and Nacer Chadli were both added to the squad for a combined fee of £24m before the recent arrival of club-record signing Roberto Saldado for £26m.

"I say it every season that we can make the Champions League," the Daily Star. quotes King as saying.

"With the new signings, I definitely believe it again this season. Three top quality players have come in. The signings have been great."

Spurs start the new Premier League season with a trip to Crystal Palace on August 18.
