Jose Mourinho takes fresh swipe at Dele Alli

Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that he is yet to see a "good" Dele Alli during his time in North London.

The 24-year-old was forced to miss Thursday's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea due to a tendon problem, but he has hardly been considered for selection in the Premier League when fully fit.

Mourinho was in no mood to sugar coat his words after Spurs suffered a third defeat on the bounce in midweek, and the Portuguese boss aimed another dig at Alli following the loss in the derby.

Speaking to reporters, Mourinho said: "(Sergio) Reguilon means something for our attacking football. Harry Kane means something to our attacking football.

"Giovani Lo Celso means something and a good Dele Alli that we haven't had yet also means something to that. It also is about not having the players to change things. It's also about the confidence."

Alli has appeared a measly four times in the Premier League during the 2020-21 campaign, but he remained at Spurs in January despite persistent links with Paris Saint-Germain.
