Jermaine Jenas: 'Tottenham Hotspur could miss out on top four next season'

Jermaine Jenas warns former club Tottenham Hotspur that they could struggle to finish in the top four of the Premier League next term.

Former Tottenham Hotspur star Jermaine Jenas has warned the club that they are in danger of missing out on a place in the top four of the Premier League next season.

The BBC pundit believes that the club's temporary move to Wembley Stadium coupled with their lack of activity in the transfer market has given rival teams the upper hand.

Jenas also identified the sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City as a major blow to the North London outfit.

"The disappointing thing from a Spurs point of view is that Walker has gone to Manchester City, and in doing so he has massively strengthened a competitor for that Premier League title," he told The Independent.

"The other side to that is that Spurs were always going to sell to the highest bidder, and the clubs in the Premier League have the most money."

However, Jenas went on to encourage Spurs fans to rally around manager Mauricio Pochettino and predict that Walker's exit will not spark a mass exodus at the club.
