Tottenham Hotspur frontman Harry Kane has declared that he is in peak physical and mental shape as he gears up for the new Premier League season.
The 23-year-old earned last season's Premier League golden boot with 25 strikes as Spurs guaranteed Champions League football with a third-place finish in the league.
A disappointing summer with England at Euro 2016 ensued, but Kane insists that he is unfazed by the events in France going into the new campaign.
"I am probably feeling as good going into a season as ever," Kane told The Sun. "I seem to be getting physically better with each year. And mentally I'm in top shape.
"I have put the summer behind me. It was disappointing. We were all excited going into it, I know I was. I went into it with a lot of hope.
"But football does not always pan out the way you want. It's about moving on now and doing my job for Tottenham."
Spurs get their season underway with a trip to Everton on Saturday.
