Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has claimed that he is confident of maintaining the red-hot form that propelled him to becoming one of the Premier League's most lethal hitmen.
The 22-year-old netted 31 times for the Lilywhites in what proved a goal-laden breakthrough season for the youngster at White Hart Lane last term.
In consequence of his form, Kane is fully aware that opposition managers will devise plans to combat his talismanic qualities, but the England international - who netted within minutes of his Three Lions debut - says that he can thwart them once more this season.
"I'm looking forward to seeing what I come up against and how I deal with it," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror.
"You come up against challenges in life and it's how you deal with that that defines you.
"I'm confident in my ability, as I have been my whole career, that I will be capable of maintaining my form, if not improving, year in year out."
Kane is expected to spearhead Spurs' attack in their Premier League opener at Manchester United this afternoon.
