Christian Eriksen: 'Tottenham Hotspur can win remaining games'

Tottenham Hotspur midfield star Christian Eriksen thinks that his side are capable of winning all five of their remaining Premier League games this season.

Tottenham Hotspur midfield star Christian Eriksen believes that his side are capable of winning all five of their remaining Premier League games this season.

Spurs bounced back from their 4-0 loss at Liverpool by thrashing Sunderland 5-1 at White Hart Lane on Monday night.

That result leaves the Lilywhites sixth in the Premier League table, five points below arch rivals Arsenal, who currently occupy the final Champions League spot.

However, with winnable games against West Bromwich Albion, Fulham, Stoke City, West Ham United and Aston Villa coming up, Eriksen thinks that Spurs could yet end the season on 74 points – a total that may be enough to see them sneak into the top four.

Speaking after his man-of-the-match performance on Monday, Eriksen told Spurs TV: "We had to bounce back from last week. We did that and now hopefully we can continue that next week as well.

"We know it is going to be five difficult games, but if we play like we did today I think we can win them all."

Tottenham's best ever points tally in the Premier League was 72, which was achieved under Andre Villas-Boas last season.
