Christian Eriksen eager for home win against Hull City

Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen believes that it is important for the team to win their final home game of the season against Hull City.

Christian Eriksen has claimed that it is important for Tottenham Hotspur to win their final home game of the season against Hull City.

Spurs, who welcome the Tigers to White Hart Lane later today, are currently fighting for Europa League qualification.

Mauricio Pochettino's side have won just half of their matches on home soil this season, and Eriksen is determined to give the fans something to cheer about this afternoon.

"We want to finish the season really strongly and hopefully we'll do that – especially in Saturday's game at the Lane," he told the club's official website. "We haven't always done it in every home match this season, we've had some off games, but hopefully we'll finish well in front of our own fans.

"We know as well that we're coming up against a Hull team who are fighting for their lives in the Premier League so it's a really important game for them. But, of course, the same goes for us as well and we are just as hungry for the points because we'll need them to get into Europe. We are determined to win the game."

Tottenham host Hull having failed to win any of their last three matches in the Premier League.
