Michael Dawson: 'Our work rate was magnificent'

Michael Dawson says that Tottenham Hotspur never gave up hope of challenging for a Champions League spot following tonight's 2-1 victory over Manchester United.

Michael Dawson has said that Tottenham Hotspur had to work hard for this evening's 2-1 victory at Manchester United.

The North Londoners came out on top for the second year running at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Emmanuel Adebayor and Christian Eriksen.

"I think the work rate from the boys was magnificent, top class," Dawson told BT Sport.

"We've always believed [that Tottenham can finish in the top four]. We've had some hard days but we've all stuck together and with the quality in that dressing room we'll always be up there."

Spurs are two points off fourth-placed Liverpool.
