Laurent Blanc favourite to succeed Harry Redknapp?

Blanc top target for Spurs?

France manager Laurent Blanc is reportedly Tottenham Hotspur's number one target to become the club's new boss.

The North London outfit are currently in the hunt for a new coach after sacking Harry Redknapp following a four-year tenure.

While former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has been touted as the bookmakers' favourite to nab the position, it is understood that the Spurs hierarchy have outlined a move for Blanc, who is thought to be interested in a switch to White Hart Lane, according to Goal.com.

The 46-year-old comes to the end of his contract with the French Football Association at the close of the European Championships, where France are one game away from competing in the quarter-finals.

Reports have claimed that while Blanc is the top target for Spurs, Villas-Boas and Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez are potential candidates. However, Everton manager David Moyes is not thought to be a contender for the position.
