Gareth Bale says that Tottenham Hotspur are looking to rectify their defeat to Arsenal earlier this season by beating them on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has revealed that his side want revenge when they face Arsenal on Sunday.

The two met at the Emirates Stadium in November when, after a good start, Spurs threw away the lead and endured a 5-2 defeat, in a game that saw Emmanuel Adebayor sent off after 18 minutes.

The second North London derby of the season takes place at White Hart Lane at the weekend, and Bale hopes that a result against their rivals can help propel them into the Champions League.

"It's one we want to win. We started well last time and the sending-off was a problem," Bale told ESPN. "We want to rectify that score now and hopefully get the three points.

"We go into the game full of confidence, looking for three points to boost our hopes of getting into the Champions League.

"It's massive. We know how big it is - not just for us but for the fans."
