Bradley Allen: 'Tottenham Hotspur can reach Champions League'

Former Queens Park Rangers striker Bradley Allen believes that Tottenham Hotspur, under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino, can reach the Champions League this season.

Former Queens Park Rangers striker Bradley Allen has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur can make the Champions League come the end of the season.

The 42-year-old, currently an academy coach at White Hart Lane, believes that new manager Mauricio Pochettino has given the club a "buzz" which has impacted positively on the team's performances.

Allen told BBC Sport: "I certainly think Tottenham can make the Champions League. They tasted Champions League football when they were led by Harry Redknapp.

"I know there may be some departures before the transfer window closes, but there is enough depth in the squad currently, even with a tough Europa League draw, for Mauricio Pochettino to put the emphasis on Premier League fixtures.

"There's a buzz here. Pochettino's got some of his ideas across and they've taken that into their displays. There's no reason why they can't achieve Champions League football come the end of this season."

Spurs, spearheaded by Gareth Bale, reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2011.
