Toby Alderweireld unconcerned by Tottenham Hotspur start

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld says that he is not worried by the club's poor start to the season and that he is happy at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld has said that he is not worried by the club's winless start to the Premier League season.

Spurs have lost one and drawn three of their opening four league games since Alderweireld's arrival on a free transfer from Atletico Madrid this summer.

Despite the poor opening, the Belgian defender, who spent last season on loan at Southampton, insists that he is happy with the start he has made at his new club.

"In the last home game against Everton I think that we played very well," he told Sky Sports News. "The only thing was that we could not score, but our game is improving.

"I think that I have had a good start, and I am feeling comfortable and confident. I am very happy at Tottenham.

"We have a nice group at Belgium and some of them are here at Tottenham as well, so when I came it was easy. In the first few weeks they helped me. After a couple of days I felt at home and that is important for my game."

Alderweireld is currently on international duty with Belgium, who beat Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-1 yesterday ahead of a trip to Cyprus on Sunday.
