Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris to miss four weeks with hamstring injury

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is out of action for around four weeks because of a hamstring injury.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been ruled out of action for around four weeks after suffering a hamstring injury.

The 29-year-old hurt himself in the opening-day 1-1 draw against Everton and will now miss matches against Crystal Palace and Liverpool.

On Tuesday, a Spurs statement confirmed: "Following further assessment and scans of the left hamstring injury sustained by Hugo Lloris in the 1-1 draw at Everton on Saturday, we can confirm he is expected to be out of action for around four weeks.

"Our captain left the field during the first half at Goodison Park and our medical team will continue to monitor his progress during his rehabilitation to determined when he will be ready to return to training."

Lloris joined Tottenham from French outfit Lyon in 2012 and has gone to make 168 appearances for the North London side.
