Mousa Dembele suffers fresh injury setback

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele emerges as a doubt for their Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion after picking up a foot injury in training.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele has suffered a fresh injury setback in training after picking up a knock to his foot.

The Belgian has made just one start in all competitions so far this season, having spent the first four games out through suspension before sustaining a hamstring injury.

Dembele had been in line to return for this weekend's match against West Bromwich Albion, but he is now a doubt for the game with a foot problem.

"He had a minor problem in his hamstring against Sunderland. Then it was good but he got a knock in his foot, an old problem, and now he's recovering from that," manager Mauricio Pochettino told reporters.

"It was in training. It's minor but it's painful for him. When he touches the ball, it's painful for him."

Spurs are the only remaining unbeaten team in the Premier League this season following their 2-0 victory over Manchester City before the international break.
