Tottenham Hotspur have locked horns with Aston Villa 180 times over the years, and it is the Lilywhites that lead the way in this fixture having won 80 of their clashes, while the Lions have come out on top on 64 different occasions.

Since the turn of the century, Villa have won 15 of their 51 meetings with the Londoners - succumbing to defeat on 26 occasions - though the Lions have triumphed in seven of their last 10 across all competitions against Spurs, suffering losses in the other three fixtures in that time.

Tottenham have won three of their past five Premier League matches against the West Midlands side, with boss Ange Postecoglou overseeing a dominant 4-1 victory at home in November 2024.

Villa boss Unai Emery managed to exact revenge in the FA Cup four months later, winning 2-1 thanks to strikes from Morgan Rogers and Jacob Ramsey, the latter of whom netted in the first minute.

Emery would also lead his team to a 2-0 victory at Villa Park in May 2025, before coming from behind to down Thomas Frank's Tottenham 2-1 in October, overturning Rodrigo Bentancur's early opener courtesy of two excellent strikes from outside the box from Rogers and Emiliano Buendia.

Most recently, Roberto De Zerbi's relegation-threatened Spurs escaped the bottom three with a 2-1 triumph in May 2025 after an impressive performance at Villa Park.

Conor Gallagher opened the scoring that day with just 12 minutes on the clock, and following Richarlison's effort 13 minutes later, the Lions were only able to muster a consolation goal in second-half stoppage time through a Buendia header.

At least three goals have been scored in seven of the clubs' last eight matchups, with Spurs scoring four goals in two of those outings.

In terms of winning runs, Tottenham managed to beat the Lions 4-0 at Villa Park in their Premier League visit to the stadium in March 2024, having triumphed in eight of their prior nine trips to the ground.

Remarkably, there has not been a single draw between Tottenham and Villa in 23 Premier League meetings - the joint-second longest streak of any top-flight fixture - as the two sides last shared the spoils all the way back in May 2012, when Ciaran Clark and Emmanuel Adebayor were on target for their respective teams.

The North London giants also lead the way in terms of individual scorers in this head-to-head - no player has managed more than Bobby Smith's 12 for Spurs against Villa, while former Tottenham captain Son Heung-min is not too far behind with seven.
