Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele feels that the club can achieve "something special" if they play in the Champions League next season.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Dembele has said that the club can achieve "something special" if they play in the Champions League next season.

Spurs are currently fifth in the Premier League, two points adrift of North London rivals Arsenal, who occupy the final qualifying spot.

However, the Belgium international thinks that should the club achieve their target of qualification then they will be well positioned to make waves in Europe's premier competition next season.

"With Tottenham [in the Champions League], I know we can do something special," Dembele told The Telegraph.

"I believe if we get to Brazil 2014 [with Belgium], we can do something surprising. The same with Spurs too if we can reach the Champions League."

Spurs travel to Chelsea this evening.
