Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live text coverage of the Champions League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and PSV Eindhoven at Wembley Stadium. Time is running out for both sides as they attempt to revive their hopes of progressing from Group B, having played out a 2-2 draw in the Netherlands two weeks ago to make it three games without a win.

That draw at the Philips Stadion suited neither side, and now both face the prospect of crashing out this evening should results go against them. Barcelona are as good as though on nine points from nine at the top of Group B, while Inter are well placed in second on six points from their three matches. Defeat for Tottenham tonight, or indeed PSV, coupled with an Inter win at home to Barca, and they will be out.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TEAM NEWS!

STARTING XI: Gazzaniga; Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies; Eriksen, Dele, Winks; Lucas, Son, Kane

Starting with a look at the home team, boss Mauricio Pochettino has made six changes to the Tottenham side that beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 at the weekend. There is a change in goal, as Paulo Gazzaniga takes over from the suspended Hugo Loris - sent off at a pivotal moment at the Philips Stadion last month - for his fifth start of the season. Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min are also recalled to the attack line.

There are three fresh pairs of legs operating behind Harry Kane, then, who has eight goals in 14 matches for Spurs this season, though just two in his last seven for club and country. Mousa Dembele, Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela all drop out, with the first of that trio not even fit enough for a place on the bench tonight after damaging his ankle at Molineux three days ago.

The other two changes come in the backline, as Davinson Sanchez takes over from Juan Foyth, who conceded two penalties on his Premier League debut last time out, and Serge Aurier is in for the out-of-form Kieran Trippier. Some big calls made by Pochettino, including the decision to leave out Lamela for the more direct Son, and it appears as though the hosts will go with a 4-3-3 formation tonight, as apposed to their favoured 4-2-3-1.

PSV EINDHOVEN TEAM NEWS!

STARTING XI: Zoet; Dumfries, Schwaab, Viergever, Angelino; Rosario, Hendrix, Pereiro; Bergwijn, De Jong, Lozano

SUBS: Room, Sainsbury, Behich, Ramselaar, Guti, Mauro, Malen

Switching focus to the visitors now, and Mark van Bommel has gone with the starting lineup many would have expected. Rather than reverting to a 4-4-2 formation to establish greater control of midfield, the Dutch side go with a more attacking 4-3-3. Steven Bergwijn is back involved tonight after missing the first leg through injury - a major boost for Van Bommel, who saw one of his key men come through 84 minutes at the weekend.

Donyell Malen is the man to make way out wide from the 2-2 draw a couple of weeks back, with Hirving Lozano and Luuk de Jong - both on target that night - used alongside him in a talented front three. De Jong netted the winner in the 1-0 win over Vitesse at the weekend and now has four in four, making him the one to watch tonight. The trusted trio of trusted trio of Hendrix, Pereiro and Rosario are selected in the middle.

Van Bommel has therefore named the same starting lineup from the win over Vitesse, thanks to Bergwijn coming through the game unscathed. The PSV boss has a settled XI and it has paid off, with 11 wins in a row in their domestic league seeing them flying high a quarter of the way through their latest title defence. At the back, Dumfries, Schwaab, Viergever and Angelino are tasked with keeping Kane & Co. quiet.

Mauricio Pochettino makes six changes from Tottenham Hotspur's 3-2 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers, including a whole new attacking midfield as Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min are all included from the off. PSV Eindhoven are unchanged from the 1-0 victory over Vitesse, meanwhile, meaning that Steven Bergwijn is fit to start.

PREVIOUS MEETINGS! Prior to the 2-2 draw in the Netherlands last month, these two sides had met on just two previous occasions. That double-header came in 2007-08 when both teams claimed a 1-0 away win in their UEFA Cup last-16 tie, with PSV Eindhoven going through 6-5 on penalties at the end of a tight contest against their English opponents.

Tottenham were undone by a late goal in that reverse meeting with PSV - the second away Group B match running that they were denied three valuable points late on. Luuk de Jong found a way through in the 87th minute to earn the Eindhoven club a share of the spoils, after Lucas Moura and Harry Kane had struck either side of half time to cancel out Hirving Lozano's opener.

The manner in which Spurs were denied victory against Inter was even crueller, as Mauro Icardi cancelled out Christian Eriksen's opener, before Matias Vecino added a second a few minutes later to deny Pochettino's men so much as a point. Those disappointing away days sandwiched a 4-2 home loss to a Lionel Messi-inspired Barcelona, leaving Tottenham with it all to do in the second half of the group stage.

Tottenham will crash out this evening if they fail to win and Inter are successful against Barcelona, though if the opposite is true - Spurs win and Inter lose - all of a sudden they are withing two points of the Italian side ahead of their clash here on November 28. It does have to be said, though, that the Lilywhites conclude their Group B campaign at Camp Nou before Christmas - a fixture that many sides write off before a ball is even kicked.

Pochettino guided his side into the last 16 of the competition last year as winners of a group that also contained holders and eventual champions Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. Spurs picked up famous wins over both clubs and were in front on aggregate against European giants Juventus in the first knockout round, only for a lapse of concentration in the second leg to cost them dear. Lessons, you feel, will no doubt have been learned.

Including the draw and loss to Juve last season, Spurs are now winless in five European matches - their worst-such run on the continent - losing three of those. They have lost back-to-back Euro matches at Wembley, too, albeit at the hands of true heavyweights Juve and Barcelona, which they simply need to put an end to tonight. Competing in the Champions League for a fourth time, this campaign looks as though it will end in an early exit.

Tottenham's continental strugglers have blemished what has been a strange campaign on the whole as, despite making their best-ever start to a Premier League campaign, the mood around the camp is not exactly high. Pochettino has admitted as much, in fact, conceding that even with 24 points from 11 top-flight matches, something is still not quite right. Full credit to the players for simply powering on, earning successive wins over West Ham and Wolves last week.

That can partly be put down to a failure to bring in a single new player in the summer at a point when they simply had to push on, while their move into a new 62,000-seater stadium continues to be delayed, and Pochettino's name is repeatedly linked with the Real Madrid job. Tottenham have performed well on the whole this season, yet should they crash out of the Champions League tonight, that outlook will change drastically.

Even the 3-2 win over Wolves came with a number of complaints, as Spurs so nearly chucked away a three-goal lead at Molineux. That victory in the Midlands was Tottenham's seventh away success in 10 matches this season, but they are without back-to-back triumphs on their temporary home patch since the opening month of the campaign. Wembley is far from a fortress, and it is fair to say that the home fans in attendance tonight would much rather be playing elsewhere.

Tottenham have taken 24 points from a possible 33 in the Premier League and find themselves right in the title race, even if they are currently down in fourth. Their domestic campaign can still go one of two ways, while in Europe they are on the verge of an early exit from the Champions League. Anything less than victory tonight and they can start preparing for the Europa League - at best!

DID YOU KNOW? Tottenham Hotspur's last home match against visitors from the Netherlands ended in a 4-1 defeat of FC Twente in the 2010-11 group stage. Their only loss to Dutch opposition on their own patch, in fact, came in a 1-0 loss to PSV Eindhoven in the UEFA Cup last 16 a decade ago. The Red and Whites have won just once on their last nine visits to England.

The 2-2 draw against Tottenham two weeks ago can be considered a point gained for PSV in the grand scheme of things, but three points were very much on the agenda heading into that match. The 1988 European champions have struggled in UEFA's elite club competition in recent times, going 11 matches without a win. Away from home, meanwhile, the 24-time Dutch champions are winless since a 1-0 success at CSKA Moscow in November 2007.

That is a run spanning 11 matches, eight of which have ended in defeat, although they did draw 0-0 at Manchester United in 2015-16 on their most recent visit to England. A rare away success this evening, coupled with a Barcelona win at San Siro, will take them within two points of Inter in second place ahead of their clash on the final matchday - that could be a potential classic if all goes to plan.

PSV were thrashed 4-0 by Barcelona in their opening match, although that scoreline does not tell the whole story as the Spanish champions only pulled away late on - had Messi not been on the pitch they may not have won at all. That was followed by a 2-1 home loss to Inter Milan, with Radja Nainggolan and Mauro Icardi registering at the Philips Stadion, and a 2-2 draw with Tottenham that leaves them in a bad position.

The Red and Whites' domestic prospects look a lot more positive, though, as they are one of two European sides - along with Paris Saint-Germain - to boast a 100% record in their respective league. Eleven matches played and 11 victories, most recently edging past Vitesse 1-0 at the weekend through a Luuk de Jong goal, leaves them five points in front of closest challengers Ajax.

A fourth title in five years would of course be nice; equally as sweet would be progressing through to the knockout rounds of the Champions League when written off by pretty much everyone. A reminder that one of, or indeed both, of PSV and Tottenham could be knocked out of the competition come 10pm this evening. We will therefore be keeping a close eye on events at San Siro between Inter Milan and Barcelona.

MANAGERS' COMMENTS!

Mauricio Pochettino: "We hope we can pay back all the effort by winning on Tuesday, it's the only way we can repay [supporters]. Of course, we all expected to be in the new stadium in this period. We cannot ask more from them. We, the club, [chairman] Daniel [Levy], we feel sorry for them. We can only be grateful - as to be at Wembley for them is tougher than it is for us."

Mark van Bommel: "It's outright disturbing. Every time I had to check whether the ball was in the sidelines. But we should not complain about it. It cannot be an excuse. Although I do not think they are happy about this in England. If you are thinking about the pitch then it is not good. You have to prepare and that is it. You cannot complain, you cannot change the situation."

Pochettino hopes to "repay" supporters for what has been a disastrous switch between grounds. The Lilywhites face the ultimate embarrassment of being out of the Champions League before their new stadium is even ready to be opened, which Arsenal fans have been eager to point out. Opposite number Van Bommel, meanwhile, has real concerns over the stats of the Wembley pitch, which has come into real focus over the past week due to the NFL branding that is still visible.

PREDICTION! Victory will be the target for both sides, knowing that anything less could officially bring an end to their Champions League campaigns tonight. Both teams have impressed domestically, losing three games between them, but Tottenham will be confident of maintaining their positive record against Dutch sides on home soil. 2-1.

KICKOFF:  Tottenham Hotspur, seeking their first win in this season's Champions League, get us up and running at Wembley Stadium. Both teams face elimination from the competition tonight - this really is a huge match in the English capital!

GOAL!  TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 0-1 PSV EINDHOVEN (LUUK DE JONG)

Sixty-one seconds on the clock and the nightmare scenario has come true for Tottenham Hotspur - they trail to a Luuk de Jong header. An out-swinging corner was met by the PSV Eindhoven skipper on the penalty spot, directing the ball past Paulo Gazzaniga for his 14th goal of the season.

PSV's fans are making all the noise inside Wembley - as they have been for a good hour now. Not quite sure who was supposed to be picking up Luuk de Jong from that corner, but the initial suggestions are that he was Dele Alli's man.

Tottenham led against Inter and PSV, but they must come from behind tonight if they are to avoid an early exit. The home side have yet to get going, having been left stunned by their opponents' fast start.

OFF THE LINE!  Dumfries with a well-timed challenge on Kane to concede a corner but, crucially, not a penalty kick. Before that, Sanchez nodded Eriksen's cross on target and Dele flicked it goalwards, where Angelino was waiting on the line to clear it away.

Dele Alli cannot quite readjust his feet when looking to attack Christian Eriksen's latest cross into the middle, moments after having a flicked shot saved on the line. This has been a good response from Tottenham over the past couple of minutes.

BLOCK! Harry Kane is played in behind and gets a clean shot away, which hits Nick Viergever before it can reach the target. The home side have been dominant for the past five or 10 minutes, but they cannot find a leveller.

PSV have done well to slow down the tempo of the match over the past couple of minutes after coming under real pressure since opening the scoring early on. Tottenham are still the side on top in terms of possession.

PSV are now relying almost exclusively on the counter-attack, especially down the left-hand side. The visitors opened the scoring 61 seconds in and now have something to hold onto for the remaining three quarters of the match.

GROUP B UPDATE! Inter Milan and Barcelona are still scoreless in the other Group B match taking place tonight, meaning that Tottenham Hotspur are heading out of the Champions League as things stand.

Tottenham, on their longest winless run in European competition, can add another unwanted record to their collection following that early Luuk de Jong header...

SAVE!  A little over a quarter of the match played and Jeroen Zoet is called into action for the first time, producing a pretty routine save to keep out Harry Kane's curled shot. Tottenham need to maintain this pressure if they are to find a leveller.

SAVE!  A brilliant run from Lucas Moura, taking the ball past a few opposition men and managing to get a shot away at the end of it. Jeroen Zoet got down well to keep out the effort, but the home fans appreciate that attacking play from the Brazilian.

Tottenham have been in total control of the match, seeing more than 75% of the ball in the opening half an hour, yet it is PSV who lead through Luuk de Jong's early opener. The visitors are attempting to break up play with a series of fouls.

Lucas Moura is having a good game, justifying his place in the side with another direct run into the box. Moura's cross was into a dangerous position, but it had a bit too much on it for Davinson Sanchez, who stayed up from a free kick.

SAVE!  Jeroen Zoet produces a double save to somehow keep PSV in front. Christian Eriksen was denied down low with his first-time finish from six yards out, and Dele Alli fired the rebound right at the visiting keeper with plenty of the goal to aim for.

A reminder that, as things stand with more than half an hour played in both Group B games taking place tonight, Tottenham will be heading out. PSV now just need to see out the remaining hour or so and hope for a Barca goal at San Siro.

Tottenham have enjoyed plenty of the ball this evening, particularly in the final third of the field, but they have been unable to find a way past Jeroen Zoet in the PSV goal. Pochettino's men really could do with a goal before half time.

The ball is worked nicely to Ben Davies, who is unable to guide his shot past former Man City man Angelino. The first half is fast coming to an end, and it is PSV - despite being outplayed - who are a goal to the good.

SAVE!  Jeroen Zoet is tested once again, this time keeping out Dele Alli's shot. The midfielder was played through by a long ball over the top, but he could not quite wrap his foot around the ball and the attempt was rather weak. Lozano is booked for fouling Winks.

Son Heung-min accelerates into the box and appeared to be tripped by Dumfries, but the referee felt differently and waved away the weak appeals. Tottenham do not deserve to be trailing as we enter the final throes of the first half.

Tottenham are unable to really get a foot on the ball in the areas where it matters at the end of this first half. The Lilywhites have had plenty of opportunities in the opening 45 minutes, though, and they have another 45 to find two goals.

Pochettino may well have wanted to make a change at the break, though a look at his depleted bench and - Lamela aside - he does not have a great deal of options. Tottenham have not exactly been bad in this first half; they were undone by an early sucker punch.

HALF TIME:  TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 0-1 PSV EINDHOVEN

PSV Eindhoven take a one-goal lead into the break through a Luuk de Jong goal just 61 seconds into the match. Tottenham Hotspur have dominated since then, but they have failed to take their chances and now really do have it all to do at Wembley Stadium.

Luuk de Jong got away from Dele Alli and met Gaston Pereiro's out-swinging corner 61 seconds in, taking his tally to five goals in five games and leaving Tottenham with it all to do right from the off. Spurs, winless in a club-record five Champions League matches prior to tonight, responded well and had a number of first-half chances to draw back on level terms.

Denzel Dumfries was in the right place at the right time to block Dele's flicked shot on the line, before Nick Viergever got between a Harry Kane shot and the goal. Kane was also kept out by Jeroen Zoet a quarter of the way through the match - one of four saves the visiting keeper would make in a first half the home side would go on to dominate without scoring.

Zoet produced a double stop to keep out Christian Eriksen's first-time shot from six yards out and Dele's follow-up, which the Englishman - one of six players to be brought back into the starting lineup - should have been burying. The direct Lucas Moura was proving a real threat, and he would also be denied by Zoet at the end of a mazy run, as was Dele for a second time later in the half.

KICKOFF:  PSV Eindhoven, sitting on that early Luuk de Jong goal, get proceedings back underway at Wembley Stadium. As things stand, Tottenham Hotspur are heading out - they need a couple of goals in the next 45 minutes to change that.

No changes made by either managed at the interval, incidentally, and Pochettino only really has Erik Lamela to bring on from the bench. Should it remain goalless come the hour mark, we can surely expect to see the Argentinian winger.

PSV have invited a lot of pressure on themselves tonight, meaning that we have seen plenty of Viergever and Schwaab. The latter has produced a big block to keep out a shot, soon after Ben Davies had fired a shot into the stands.

A cross into the PSV box is well handled by Jeroen Zoet, who has been superb this evening. Tottenham not creating as many chances as they were in the first half, although we have only played just six minutes of the second period.

Paulo Gazzaniga almost guilty of a howler, but he gets away with his cheeky flick to take the ball away from Hirving Lozano. Up the other end, Dele Alli's curles shot is off target and Jeroen Zoet watched it sail over.

The tempo is a lot slower in this second period compared to the first, which is bad news for Tottenham - they need a couple of goals. Son attempts to change all that by charging into the area, but Dumfries produced a great tackle to concede a corner.

PSV will likely have more and more opportunities on the counter, and from one such opening Steven Bergwijn got a shot away which Toby Alderweireld did well to block aside. From the corner, Gazzaniga was equal to Pereiro's rising header.

Luuk de Jong's second-minute goal is still the difference between the two sides. Tottenham have had a number of opportunities to level, but none of those have been in a second half that has been edged by the visitors.

It has been a frustrating second period from Tottenham's perspective. Dele Alli sends a dangerous cross into the box, which Schwaab is once again equal to. PSV are penned in, but they are defending brilliantly and still hold a one-goal lead.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR SUB! Erik Lamela comes on for Lucas Moura, who has been Tottenham's best outfield player tonight. The home fans do no agree with that decision - plenty of jeers aimed in the direction of Mauricio Pochettino.

This second half has flown by - just 25 minutes remain and Tottenham still require a couple of goals if they are to have any hope of finishing in the top two. The Lilywhites have had 68% of possession across the first 66 minutes.

SHOT!  Blocks galore in the PSV box at the moment. Son Heung-min works a shooting position and directs a shot towards the bottom corner, but the touch from Daniel Schwaab took it into the side-netting. Tottenham knocking on the door now.

One goal for Tottenham in the next five minutes and you would fancy them to get a winner - this night has that type of feel to it. Finding the breakthrough is proving to be a near-impossible task for the Lilywhites so far, however.

The medical team are on to give Dumfries some treatment. The PSV defender is clutching his hamstring, but the cynic in me is thinking that he is merely eating up some minutes - we'll see. That said, Van Bommel looks to be readying a change...

PSV really are putting their bodies on the line, seemingly blocking every Tottenham shot. Dumfries is OK to continue, so Donyell Malen instead comes on for Gaston Pereiro for the final 15 minutes. Spurs are seriously running out of time now.

Tottenham are 15 minutes away, plus added time, from crashing out of the Champions League. This would be a truly massive win for PSV - their first away from home in the Champions League proper in a decade.

Denzel Dumfries is getting on the end of everything, heading clear another cross into the box. Kieran Trippier and Fernando Llorente are on for Dele Alli and Serge Aurier as we move towards the final 10 minutes in the English capital.

GOAL!  TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1-1 PSV EINDHOVEN (HARRY KANE)

Jeroen Zoet produced another big save at his near post to keep out Harry Kane but, just when it was looking like being a hugely frustrating night for the English striker, he sent a shot into the bottom corner from eight yards - great finish!

Kane played a good one-two with Fernando Llorente before burying that shot. All of a sudden it is game on at Wembley Stadium - one more goal is needed if they are to have any realistic hopes of reaching the last 16.

PSV EINDHOVEN SUB! Trent Sainsbury has been brought on for Luuk de Jong, as Van Bommel replaces his captain and the player who for so long tonight looked like being the matchwinner. Twenty-five attempts for Spurs so far.

SAVE!  Great save from Paulo Gazzaniga to keep out Donyell Malen, who was through on goal. The substitute went for pure power from close range, when he should perhaps have looked for the bottom corner. Big new from San Siro - Barcelona lead Inter Milan 1-0 through a Malcom goal!

SAVE!  Fernando Llorente gets on the end of Harry Winks's cross, but can only direct it right at Zoet in the PSV goal. This is a gripping conclusion to what has been a good match - it really could go either way with a couple of minutes to play.

GOAL!  TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 2-1 PSV EINDHOVEN (HARRY KANE)

Tottenham have lift-off in the Champions League!! Harry Kane gets his head on Ben Davies's cross, and it took a deflection off two PSV Eindhoven players - the telling one off Erick Gutierrez - on its way past Zoet. Incredibly, Inter have just equalised against Barcelona!

Six minutes have been added on at Wembley, three of which we have already played. Tottenham trailed for 76 minutes tonight, yet it is they who are now protecting a one-goal lead in added time. Great scenes at Wembley.

Just 60 seconds remain at Wembley Stadium, where Tottenham lead 2-1. Inter Milan have earned what could be a vital 1-1 draw against Barcelona at San Siro.

A dramatic turnaround at Wembley Stadium ensures that Tottenham Hotspur still have hope of finishing in the top two of Group B, while PSV Eindhoven - who led for so long through Luuk de Jong's early opener - can now only claim a Europa League spot at best. Harry Kane was the two-goal hero for Spurs, who host Inter Milan in a huge match here in three weeks' time.
