Agent: Liverpool are monitoring Jeffren Suarez

Liverpool are interested in signing Sporting Lisbon forward Jeffren Suarez, according to the player's agent Jorge Llagostera.

Jeffren, 24, has struggled to settle in Portugal since his move from Barcelona in July 2011 and another move in January appears to be probable.

"Liverpool and other Premier League clubs are monitoring the kid," said Llagostera. "But, formally, we have still not received an offer to negotiate with Sporting."

Jeffren has scored five goals in 22 first-team appearances for Sporting.
