How Spain could line up against Switzerland

Spain manager Luis Enrique is set to be working without Ansu Fati for Thursday's UEFA Nations League clash with Switzerland in Geneva.

The Barcelona starlet was absent from the draw with the Czech Republic due to his ongoing fitness concerns, and Enrique fears that the attacker will not be able to feature at all this month.

La Roja otherwise have no fresh fitness concerns ahead of the League A Group 2 contest, where changes aplenty can be expected in all areas of the field.

Eric Garcia and Unai Simon are both strong candidates to hold their spots in the defensive third, but Pau Torres will expect to come back in for Inigo Martinez, despite his late equaliser on matchday two.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Jordi Alba should also return out wide, while Rodri - who was cautioned before an early withdrawal at the weekend - will likely make way for Sergio Busquets.

Gavi's importance to the side is unparalleled after he became Spain's youngest-ever goalscorer against the Czech Republic, and the 17-year-old could be joined by Busquets and Marcos Llorente in the engine room.

A trio of attacking changes ought to see Alvaro Morata, Marco Asensio and Ferran Torres all return after Dani Olmo, Raul de Tomas and Pablo Sarabia proved largely ineffective last time out.

Spain possible starting lineup: Simon; Azpilicueta, Torres, Garcia, Alba; Llorente, Busquets, Gavi; Asensio, Morata, Torres
